Heartbroken relatives gathered outside a bed and breakfast where a woman’s body was found yesterday.
Gardai attended the scene at The Townhouse on Lower Gardiner Street in Dublin’s north inner city.
Tearful mourners consoled each other following the discovery.
The body of the woman, who was in her early 30s, was removed after 1.30pm.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of the discovery of a body of a woman on Gardiner Street.
“The body has been removed to the Dublin city morgue where a post- mortem will take place.”
Officers added the results will determine the course of the investigation.
