Tributes are being paid to a popular Irishman after his tragic death following a car crash in the USA over the weekend.
Barry McGrath, 38, was killed after a hit-and-run in San Francisco on Saturday night.
Local media report that the Galway native was travelling in an Uber car when it was struck by an individual driving a stolen vehicle.
The black Audi SUV hit the SUV Barry was in at 46th Avenue and Lincoln Way at around 7.30pm and fled the scene, San Francisco Police said.
Barry was taken to the local hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.
The driver of the car he was a passenger in was also taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police added that the driver of the Audi "fled the scene" before they arrived. They also confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen on January 12.
Barry, from Claregalway but living in San Francisco, was a huge part of the local Irish and GAA community.
His aunt said on Monday: "Our beautiful nephew Barry.
"We lost him yesterday evening in a senseless act in San Francisco. Utterly heartbroken. Rest In Peace Barry."

Barry was a pivotal member of San Francisco GAA and the organisation extended its condolences to his family and friends.
It said: "SFGAA are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Barry McGrath. A Galway native, Treasurer of our Board, Chairperson and player for St. Joseph's Hurling Club - Silicon Valley.
"He also played for San Francisco Sons of Boru/Celts, and was a highly regarded member of the Bay Area Irish community.
"As we begin to process this tragic news, we will keep you informed as we receive further updates. We ask you to keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
"Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam."
St Joseph's Hurling Club in Silicon Valley added that Barry "was always there for anyone as a friend".
The club said: "We are all deeply saddened with the passing of our Friend, Player & Chairman Barry McGrath over the weekend.
"Barry was always there for anyone as a friend, always the first person to volunteer to help the club and was heavily involved in the San Francisco GAA community.
"We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Barry's Family and are offering our support in any way possible.
"Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Rest in Peace Barry."
A member of the United Irish Cultural Center added: "On behalf of the United Irish Cultural Center community I want to express my deepest sympathies to Barry's family and his extended GAA family here locally.
"We are shell shocked to say the least. A gentleman I got to know while fulfilling his asks to referee games on Treasure Island."
Tributes have also been pouring in from Barry's friends and members of his local community in Galway and San Francisco following his tragic death.
One person said: "A great friend, gentleman, and teammate on my indoor soccer team, I will miss him a lot!"
A second said: "RIP Barry. A real gentleman and great sportsperson. Condolences to the McGrath family."
While a third added: "What terrible news rest in peace Barry sincere sympathy to his mother Bernie granny Peggy and all the extended family our hearts are broken for you all."
Barry's funeral details will be announced at a later date.
