A heartbroken dad found his son, who had been known to struggle with anxiety, dead in his bedroom.
Mutiwanyika Mutambo was described as a "quiet and polite" person by his parents who he lived with in Huyton.
The 32-year-old suffered with anxiety and took anti-depressant medications, a coroner's officer today said at Bootle Town Hall.
In the hours leading up to Mr Mutambo's death, his mum recalled sitting watching TV in the lounge as her son went into the kitchen to get some food.
Later, at 11am, on February 9, she went for a shower and heard the sound of water, which led her to think he was washing.
Mr Mutambo, who had worked as a shop assistant, was not seen for the rest of the day until just before 7pm, at the Pyes Lane address, when his dad went to his bedroom to speak to him.
Tragically he found his son, originally born in Zambia, dead at his computer desk.

A post mortem examination was carried out at the Royal Preston Hospital which didn't initially reveal a cause of death.

A further investigation, at Whiston Hospital, showed that Mr Mutambo had consumed a moderate level of alcohol, taken morphine and a drug which is prescribed to lessen symptoms of anxiety.
The court heard how together, they had combined to prove toxic, and when taken at the same time, can be fatal.
Other anti-depressants were found at therapeutic levels, the inquest was told.
It was heard how Mr Mutambo had suffered profound respiratory depression, sometimes referred to as hyperventilating, which can be common with anxiety.
Merseyside Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the Knowsley man's sudden death.
Senior Coroner Julie Goulding said: "This was a drug and alcohol related death."
