A desperate elderly father whose daughter was unable to find a hospital bed as she battled coronavirus is thought to have killed himself after she died at home.
Peng Ki was found after falling from a three-storey building in Bangkok, Thailand at around 5am local time today.
Police investigating the 84-year-old's death then found his daughter Pranee dead at their home, having died of Covid-19.
Pranee, 57, was confirmed to have died of the virus according to captain Rattaphon Suwanrat of Phayathai Police Station.
Peng Ki’s body was taken to the Ramathibodi Hospital to find out whether he was infected with the virus.
Relatives told police that Pranee was infected and the father had been distraught that he was unable to find a bed at a hospital for her to receive treatment.

Thailand had not been hit as hard as some other countries by the pandemic.
Since the virus took hold, 265,000 people had been infected and 2,080 people had died.
In the UK, 27,566 people were infected yesterday and 128,000 people have died.
