Heartbreaking news has emerged this week confirming that a Dublin GAA-mad fan has sadly died just days after his beloved Dubs reached their tenth successive Leinster final.
Tributes have been pouring in for forever 'True Blue' Paul Lynch who was well-known in GAA circles and for his match day appearances.
Many Dubs fans would be extremely familiar with Paul who drove around the city centre street on match days in his 1972 Dubs-inspired Ford Escort, with his son Daniel and dog Buddy.
Hundreds of tributes poured in for the one-of-a-kind supporter who will be sadly missed by family and friends as well as those who came across him on happy away days and glorious times in Croke Park.
Dublin GAA fans page said: "Thoughts and prayers are with Paul’s wife Doreen and Daniel and sincere condolences to all his extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. RIP Paul."
A friend of his added: "Rest in peace Paul.Enjoyed our chats everyday I walked into the workshop in Rathcoole. I'll have a lend of a smoke when I get up there bud."
Another said: "RIP Paul. May God give Doreen, Daniel, extended family and friends the strength to get through these trying times ahead."
