Heartbreaking graphic on New York Times front page shows sad extent of Covid-19 in Big Apple

A heartbreaking graphic on the front page of the New York Times shows the sad extent of Covid-19 in The Big Apple.

The newspaper's edition for Wednesday included a map of America on page one, along with spikes coming out of the areas in the country with the most deaths.

The US now has by far the most confirmed cases of the coronavirus with over 400,000 people testing positive for the deadly virus.

The nation has seen more than 12,000 deaths related to the infection - nearly half of which have been in the state of New York.

And to demonstrate how badly the region has been hit, the newspaper printed a graph showing a spike of deaths coming from New York which protruded passed the page's border and through the title of the paper.
