In the video, David sits in a chair with a glass of water as he's given vitamin tablets by his daughters while festive tunes play in the background.

Later in the clip the girls are seen taking his blood pressure and are then filmed taking blood to monitor his levels.

Claire, 35, who works as a midwife said: "We set up the YouTube channel and Facebook page to try and raise awareness for MND and to show people who don't know much about how it can affect someone.

"The video on shows what David goes through on a daily basis.

"It's great that the girls muck in to help David as much as they can. We take his blood just to keep an eye on his blood levels.

"It was such a great Christmas, but totally normal as well. It was nicer than usual, we had the family round and everyone loved the day."

David and Claire have one child together, Matilda who is six months old.

David has Anna, 14, from a previous relationship and Claire has Kaylah-Jane, 13, Madeleine, 9, and Imogen, 6.

Before David was diagnosed he showed signs he may have had the disease. Claire said it was really tough for him, however nothing prepared her for the moment she found out.

"It's horrific when you find out," Claire said.

"At first we were angry, but not physically.

"Once we got into the car we both burst into tears.

"It was then that we thought we had to remain as positive as about it.

"You have two choices, fall over and stay down or fall over and keeping getting back up time after time.

"Nobody knows what it's like to go through this so you have to remain as positive as you can.

"We tried to speak about it as much as we can as we want to raise as much awareness about it as possible."

David and his family are also in the process of setting up a charity in order to help people diagnosis.

Claire added: "The hardest part for David was before he was diagnosed because people thought there was something wrong with him like he was drunk.

"It's important for David to make people aware so hopefully the charity can do that."
