The public are being asked to rally behind a grieving family by sending twins birthday cards ahead of their special day this month.
In April, Adam and Aoife Burkes' world turned upside down when their daddy, Thomas, died suddenly at the age 29.
Mr Burke, who was a former footballer, played for a number of clubs during his career including Ballymena United and Derry City.
He was also well-known for his involvement with Trojans Football Club, as both a player and underage coach.
Those close to the Burke family are now asking people to send the twins birthday cards later this month to help "put a smile on amazing faces".
In a Facebook post online, the organisers said: "They lost their hero, a devoted father and a man like no other. For the last month these amazing twins have had to face a life of agonising trauma that not even an adult should have to bear.
"Their life has been turned upside down they witnessed unbearable trauma whilst the bravery they have shown throughout has been astonishing.
“As it is fast approaching Adam and Aoife's 4th birthday, I am asking if everyone could kindly send these two earth angels a birthday card."
They added: “This will be their first birthday without their amazing father Thomas and I am asking if everyone could try make it special.
“If we could put a smile on these amazing faces we might give them some comfort in knowing they are loved by all far and wide.”
