Heartbreak for former Rangers WAG Stephanie Heaney after sister passes away

The sister of former Rangers WAG Stephanie Heaney has passed away aged just 30.

Tributes are being paid to Lyndsey Wylie following after her body was found yesterday in a flat in Croftfoot Road, Glasgow.

She is the younger sister of Stephanie who used to be in a relationship with Rangers footballer Nacho Novo.

Lots of tributes were posted from people in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow where Lynsey grew up.

A post on the Castlemilk Community News Facebook page today read: "Really sad and heartbreaking news this morning.

"RIP Castlemilk legend Lyndsey Wylie - taken from us all far too soon and will be sorely missed by all who knew her."

Neighbours passed on their condolences to Lynsey's mum Agnes, as well as Stephanie and the rest of the family.

Claire Coyle said: "Thoughts go out to Agnes and Gerald and yer to big sisters Joanne and Stephanie and all the rest of the family I am absolutely in shock u were one in a million missy rest easy xxxx"

Sj Mac said: "Can't believe I'm reading this. You lit up a room everywhere u went.

"Amazing young lady. Never forget the memories. Thinking of ur sisters, mum and dad and nieces. Shine bright princess like the diamond u are."

Maggie Anderson said: "Rest in peace Lyndsey you were a lovely girl xx"

Novo began dating Lyndsey's sister Stephanie in 2017, but she confirmed they had split in January this year.

Lyndsey enjoyed Christmas with the couple in 2017 and the footballer appears in a number of happy Christmas snaps.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 6.30pm yesterday, the body of a 30-year-old woman was discovered in a flat in Croftfoot Road.

"A post mortem examination is to be carried out in due course to establish cause of death."
