Heartbreak as teenager Brooke Jackson dies three weeks after crash in Bangor, Co Down

A teenager has died almost three weeks after a crash in Co Down.

The tragic news has been confirmed on Thursday that Brooke Jackson, 19, passed away following the collision on the Ballycrochan Road in Bangor on Sunday, June 16.

Brooke, who was the driver of the crash, was one of four teenage girls hospitalised after the Fiat Punto car left the road at 3.30am in the morning, Belfast Live reports.

A police spokesman said: "Following a single vehicle road traffic collision on the Ballycrochan Road in Bangor on Sunday 16 June, Police can confirm that 19-year-old Brooke Jackson from Bangor has passed away as a result of injuries sustained.

"Brooke was the driver of the car involved in the collision. Her family have asked for privacy at this sad time."
