Heartbreak as Notts pub restaurant calls last orders and closes permanently

A Nottinghamshire pub has had to call last orders permanently - announcing its doors will now shut for good.

Owners of the Little John Inn, on Main Road, Ravenshead, said the decision to close for good was "heartbreaking" as they thanked loyal staff and punters for their support over the years.

On its website, the venue added all of its food is sourced from local suppliers, and it offered "a classic coffee menu, a fantastic range of draught lagers, bottled ciders, real ales, a nice selection of wines & extensive range of whisky."

A post on the Little John Inn's Facebook page on Friday, April 3, said: "We would like to thank everyone for their lovely messages, it was such a heartbreaking decision to make.

"Over the past few days we have made the heartbreaking decision to close The Little John permanently.

"We would like to thank all our amazing staff for their hard work and all of our customers for their support over the past three-and-a-half years, we will miss you all."

The reason for the closure was not given.

But all pubs, restaurants and other leisure facilities in the UK have had to temporarily close their doors under government orders during the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe in a bid to combat the spread of the disease and to help save lives.
