Heartache as body is found in harbour in search for missing 18-year-old

A body has been discovered in a port in the search for a missing teenager.

Evan Stewart, 18, was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning in Stranraer, west Scotland.

Police confirmed a body was found at 11.50am today in Stranraer harbour but formal identification is yet to take place.

Ewan's family have been made aware of the discovery.

Speaking yesterday as the hunt continued, Ewan's worried brother Drew David Stewart shared his despair.

"Thank you to everyone who showed their support in the search for my brother Evan.

"Unfortunately CCTV footage shows him falling in the water late Saturday night.

"The family appreciate everything," David posted on Facebook.

Loved ones were pictured on a desperate search around the harbour yesterday.
