Heart-stopping video has emerged of two toddlers walking on the wrong side of barriers protecting them from a 12ft drop to the sea below.
Footage captured during the Conwy Pirate Festival, in Wales, shows a small child walking back and forth on a narrow ledge while another sits next to a woman in a green jacket.
A man in red top can be seen sea-fishing close by but it's not known if he is connected to the group.
According to North Wales Live , a shocked witness has reported the issue to the volunteers of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
It's understood one onlooker went over to warn the woman and the child of the danger of standing on the wrong side of the barrier.
A spokesman for Conwy RNLI declined to comment on the video but warned that "slips and falls can easily happen in all locations".
The spokesman said: "The sea can be dangerously unpredictable, so our advice is always to be wary of all edges around the sea and waterside."
The clip has also been posted onto Facebook where shocked parents called it "madness".
One said: "The child wouldn't have had a chance...look at the size of the whirlpools."
Another one commented: "This is so sad. It's just so sad that as adults they haven't even realised the dangers OR they have, and chose to ignore them."
Website visitmyharbour.com warns of highly tidal currents in the channel.
It said: "If considering visiting bear in mind strong tidal streams in the channel make it impractical for most boats to attempt entry more tan a couple of hours after high water."
