Heart-stopping video shows dog stuck on roof of Scots flat block

A Scots dog has been filmed crying on the roof of a flat block after it managed to get outside as firefighters desperately tried to get it to safety in a heart-stopping video.

The pet was filmed on the roof of a three-storey property in Glenacre Terrace, Glasgow, this afternoon as it backed away from emergency service workers attempting to rescue it.

One firefighter can be seen hanging out of a skylight window while the terrified dog begins to cry and moves further up the roof.

Another looks on from a window inside the property as a fire engine remains parked outside.

As reported in Glasgow Live, crews continued to try and entice the pet back to safety.

But scared and unsure, the dog took a while to warm to the firefighters and backed away from their grip while desperately trying not to fall.

It is understood the dramatic rescue had a happy ending as the dog was finally brought to safety.
