Heart-stopping moment dad dangles toddler over cliff edge to pose for photos

A dad has been told he "doesn't deserve to be a father" after heart-stopping footage allegedly shows the moment he dangles his young son over the sheer drop of a mountain road to pose for photos.

A video, captured by an onlooker, shows the man crouched down as he holds the young boy by his hands, with the ground below unable to be seen.

The child looks up at his dad with his feet planted against the wall as reports say one witness can be heard saying: "Look, look. The kid's hands are shaking."

It's said to have taken place at Hongjing Road, a scenic spot in Beijing, China - a 12-mile winding road known for its stunning views, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The dad appears to shake his son's arms at one point while a second man leans over his shoulder to take a photo.

Many other tourists seem unfazed by the act, and two other visitors are shown to be sat with their legs over the edge of the steep drop in the background.

Local media reports did not specify the distance to the ground below, but the twisting road is said to reach a height of 905 metres above sea level as it scales the mountain.

The worrying stunt has been viewed more than 13 million times since it was shared on social media platform Weibo, as users slammed the man as 'undeserving of being a parent'.

It sparked outrage among concerned viewers, as one wrote: "He doesn't deserve to be a father! I feel so sorry for the child to have parents like this."

A second commented: "Oh my god, taking your child's life as a joke just for some photos! A bunch of stupid and thoughtless idiots!"
