Police have shared shocking footage of a high-speed car crash in Atherton.
The video, shared on the GMP Traffic twitter account, is taken from the dashcam of a car speeding down Tyldesley Road.
Information at the bottom of the recording shows the car had reached a speed of 79mph when it hit another vehicle turning out of Tyldesley Old Road.
The car then appears to flip over due to the impact of the crash.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that Wigan man Dean Luke has been given a suspended sentence for his part in the eight-car smash, which took place at 9.40pm on May 28 2019.
A GMP Traffic spokesman tweeted: "Dean Luke of Wigan was found guilty of dangerous driving involving an 8 vehicle RTC.
"12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Disqualified for 18 months. Rehabilitation activity with the probation services. Extended driving test after disqualification. £285 costs/fine."
