Hear what Sean McVay told the Rams after beating the Cardinals

The Rams were faced with a lot of adversity this week, not only losing Brian Allen to a knee injury, but also placing five starters on COVID-19 reserve between Saturday and Monday. Sean McVay was forced to make several adjustments over the weekend after installing the majority of his game plan for Monday’s game against the Cardinals, and he had his team ready to roll.

The Rams stunned the Cardinals on the road with a 30-23 win, their second win of the season as underdogs and just their third win against a team that’s currently above .500.

After the game, McVay handed out game balls to several individuals as part of his always-passionate locker room speech. He recognized Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford, Von Miller and Andrew Whitworth, all for performing well in the win over Arizona.

The Rams didn’t share a video of McVay’s speech, but they tweeted the audio for fans to listen to. Hear him praise Donald for doing “a great job all day” from the very first snap to the last. He also told the locker room that Stafford “led you all the way” with throw after throw in the win, which he isn’t wrong about.

Miller got a game ball for stepping up just days after losing his close friend, Demaryius Thomas, while Whitworth got the last game ball for becoming the first 40-year-old ever to start at left tackle.
