Life holds three certainties: death, taxes, and that any musician in possession of a burgeoning reputation and a guitar will find themselves in the studio with Jack White recording a limited edition 7in single.
The latest musician to enter Third Man studios is Courtney Barnett, who recorded a live session with White producing. Third Man Records has now put a single from the session for sale on its online store, as part of its Blue Series.
The A-side is Boxing Day Blues Revisited, a sequel to Boxing Day Blues from her album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit. It is backed by a cover of Rowland S Howard’s Shivers.
