The Boots store in Heanor was closed on Wednesday morning (July 24) following a break-in.
The shop in Heanor Market Place, in Market Street, did not open at its usual time after the incident.
Boots UK said it was working with police and the store was now open for business as usual.
A Boots UK spokesman said: “We can confirm that there was a break-in at our Heanor Market Place store.
"We are working with the police and are unable to comment on their ongoing investigation at the moment.
"We would like to reassure our customers that the store is open for business and trading as normal.”
