Coronavirus is sweeping through the UK and the rest of the world as the global pandemic shows no signs of slowing.
The government told all pubs, restaurants, bars, cafes and theatres to close until further notice on Friday.
Schools have now also been closed with only children of key workers able to attend classes.
In the UK, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases now stands at 5,683, with the death toll 281.
And an 18-year-old has become the youngest person in England to die from coronavirus.
Some 37 people - aged between 18 and 102 - have died after testing positive for coronavirus in England, bringing the country's total to 257, NHS England said yesterday.
All of the latest victims were in vulnerable groups, including people with underlying conditions.
The government and NHS are pleading with Brits to socially isolate themselves in a bid to flatten the peak of Covid-19 and enable the NHS to treat the most seriously ill.
However, despite the warnings, parks, beauty spots and beaches were packed with visitors over the weekend - failing to comply with the advice to stay two metres apart.
Boris Johnson has warned people that further 'tougher' measures will be introduced if the government's current coronavirus advice is not adhered to.
Mr Johnson also urged people to follow the Government's advice over coronavirus saying: "You have to stay two metres apart and you have to follow the social distancing."
And he warned he will bring forward further measures if advice is ignored.
He said: "It's crucial that people understand that tomorrow that the schools are closed.
"I want, of course I do, people to be able to go to the parks, open spaces and enjoy themselves.
"It is crucial for health, physical and mental well-being.
"But please follow that advice and don't think that fresh air in itself automatically provides some immunity."
Bradley Ziffer, from the US, has recently recovered from a devastating coronavirus infection that left him hospitalised and fighting for his life.
The product designer, who said he was "young, fit and healthy" has shared his harrowing ordeal in the hope it will convince younger people to take the necessary precautions.
In an emotional post on Twitter Bradley wrote: "So, the last week I have been battling COVID-19 & Pneumonia. Never in my life have I been this ill.
"Young people aren’t at risk, they’ll only have mild symptoms - wrong.
"I want to open up about the difficulties I’ve gone through these past days, what it was like in the ICU.
"It all started 10 days ago. I felt tired; more than usual. I had a headache, so I took ibuprofen.
"Two days later I had a fever and was finding it hard to breathe.
"A day after that I had a persistent pain in my chest, below my heart. It was hard to speak without feeling tired."
Bradley made sure he self-isolated and didn't leave his home but over the next few days his condition deteriorated fast.
He said: "I called my doctor. They wouldn’t make an appointment because of the outbreak in my community and my symptoms.
"They pushed me to the health department. I called 4 times, a man answered and yelled, “stop calling we don’t have anymore tests!”.
"I got a call an hour later. It was the health department.
"Someone different, she asked me about my symptoms, told me to fight through it and that I was now considered, “Under Investigation”.
"My symptoms and fever worsened. I called the ER that night."

Bradley was told to stay away because of his symptoms but the following morning his temperature had soared to 40C and he had started hallucinating.
Admitting he was "losing hope and feeling helpless" he called his doctor and can remember little else.
Bradley added: "From what I’m told, I drove to the hospital. Got out of my car and collapsed. Right there in the parking lot.
"I woke up while being pushed to the ICU in a wheelchair. I lost consciousness again.
"I remember waking up, not knowing where I was. I thought I was dead.
"Only then when I had an anxiety attack and could no longer breathe at all, did I realize I was alive.
"I was given oxygen, fluids, antibiotics. I took many tests, as well as the* test.
"Three cotton swabs in my throat, blood samples, mucus collection, and an EKG."
He waited six hours for his result and it came back positive - Bradley was suffering from Covid-19.
He said: "I was also diagnosed with pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics.
"I am recovering, I haven’t seen my partner in weeks - I miss them. I feel alone, but I also feel frustrated.
"Why did it take that, for me to get help? What if I was old? Or immune-compromised?
"The government has failed us. I’m lucky, others won’t be.
"It’s far past the time to take action. Not words, ACTION.
"Step up, and protect the people of this country. If they won’t, we need to.
"Stay inside, be smart. No death is worth you being ignorant. We can do this."
