Health coach claims 'miserable periods' are solved by eating raw vegetables

Women across the globe can all agree on one thing in particular - periods absolutely suck. Searching far and wide, we've all tried multiple methods to rid of the horrible pain that rudely comes to pay a visit once a month.

However, not all hope is lost as a hormone coach has gone viral online with her latest advice on how to tackle "miserable periods" - and it involves eating one item that is likely to be in your fridge. TikToker Virginia Hormone Coach shared the insight with her followers of how her periods are "SO much better" after chomping down on a particular raw vegetable - as long as it's digested the week before mother nature calls.

Hormone coach - otherwise known as @simply_virginia_ on TikTok - has raked in a large following of over 12,000 followers for sharing expert advice on how to better your hormones - and specifically, the dreaded monthlies.

The account vows to "h elp you heal your hormones" - and her recent video did exactly that.

The clip, which skyrocketed into internet stardom - having surpassed 760,000 views to date, detailed how she stumbled across a video rectifying period pain and proceeded to try it out first-hand.

She described how eating a raw carrot a week before your period is due can help limit excess estrogen with a detoxing method.

"Food is medicine," she captioned the post beside a fire emoji.

She wrote: "POV: You have miserable periods but then you see this video about how eating carrots the week before your period can help you detox excess estrogen so now you eat raw carrots everyday and your period cramps are SO much better.

Viewers immediately gushed over the insightful hack - and were quick to react to the effective method in the comment section.

However, the coach has since clarified that it does not work the same if the carrots were to be cooked - (sorry non vegetable lovers).

However, she shared that not all hope as lost as "cooked beets" can also help tackle the life-changing issue.

One user joked: "Would a carrot cake count?"

"Me seeing this whilst having horrible period cramps," a second penned beside two crying emojis

A third suggested: "Girlies!!! Shred a carrot and an apple and add one teaspoon of sugar, only way I can eat a raw carrot, it tastes like a dessert sort of lol."

A fourth gushed: "I keep seeing that red raspberry leaf tea is also good for menstrual stuff not just pregnancy."
