Health bosses have revealed the latest R rate for Nottinghamshire.
R stands for virus reproduction value and it represents how well an area is dealing with the virus and how quickly it is being spread around.
If the R-value is at 1, it means that each person with Covid-19 is infecting one other person, on average.
It's been estimated by health officials to currently be between 0.7 and 0.9 for Nottinghamshire.
This is a marked decrease from the same time last month, where it stood between 0.9 and 1.1 and it means the infection rate is currently falling as lockdown continues.
Jonathan Gribbin, Director of Public Health at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: "Although, thanks to the hard work of people right across Nottinghamshire rates are coming down, there's still quite a long way to go.
"Opening up to normal life again, each of those steps will place an upward pressure on R, which we know is just beneath one at the moment in Nottinghamshire. Somewhere between 0.7 and 0.9 is our best estimate for this week.
"Nevertheless, to make sure that it remains below one, as we open up schools and the economy and so on, it's absolutely essential that everyone continues to work from home wherever you can.
"It's really important that if you have to go out to work and its essential that to get to work you car share, you really must car share with care."
He added people should wear masks and ventilate the car and, when meeting up with others outside of your household, should continue to socially distance.
