Those Lanarkshire residents who have still to receive their booster Covid vaccine are being urged to do so before Hogmanay.
As Omicron cases rise across the country and fear of more restrictions continue to grow, the health board is urging those who have not been fully vaccinated to do so.
In a series of tweets NHS Lanarkshire stated: “We are running drop-in clinics today (December 29) at all our vaccination centres from until 6.30pm.
“The clinics will vaccinate 12 to 15-year-olds requiring a first dose, 16-year-olds and over who require a first or second dose and 18 year olds and over who require a first, second or booster vaccination.
“We have opened additional booster vaccine apps today at Ravenscraig and the Ally McCoist Centre. If you require your booster please log into the booking portal at nhsinform.scot to book asap.
“We will continue to offer drop in appointments this week as our capacity allows. We encourage you to book an appointment at one of our sites otherwise please do attend one of our drop ins to get #BoostedByTheBells.
“We have a number of appointments available at Lanark, Cumbernauld, Fernhill and Hamilton – please go on to the online portal and book your appointment.
“Lateral Flow home test kits available from pop up site Fairhill Lifestyles, East Kilbride, today from 4pm, or home delivery from nhsinform or telephone 119.”
