Health board to contact residents for details update

NHS Lanarkshire will be calling patients awaiting an appointment or those who have one booked in the future to update their personal details.

Patients who have not provided NHS Lanarkshire with a mobile phone number will receive a call on their landline.

The call is to ensure NHS Lanarkshire has accurate and up-to-date information for each patient.

Joyce Galloway, Referral Management Service Manager for NHS Lanarkshire, told the Reformer : “The safety of our patients is always our top priority. In light of the current pandemic it is extremely important that we are able to contact patients as quickly as possible to inform them of any changes to their appointments.

“The quickest way to give these types of updates to patients is sending a message to their mobile phone.

“The referral management service will be contacting those patients who we do not have a mobile number for, in order for us to update their details.”

Calls will appear as either 0800 678 3393 or 01698 759000. When the team calls, they will identify themselves.

If you would like to call back before giving this information, you can do so by ringing 0300 303 0249.
