Heading to a farm this Bank Holiday? Get to know your animals with a Saturday quiz - Alpaca or Llama?

Are you an animal expert?  How much do you know about four-legged creatures that look slightly like cushions with faces?

There's only one way to find out:

Rumour has it that if you scored 6 or over you're now qualified to work on a farm or as a vet. Officially.

Real-life alpacas can be found at Reddish Vale Farm, Stockport, Lancaster Park and Animal Farm in Middleton, White Peak Alpacas between Alderley Edge and Wilmslow and other places.

They are creatures with a peaceful temperament as they have been domesticated for thousands of years. They also produce super soft yarn.

Treetop Trek and Nets has taken Heaton Park to a whole new level

Both alpacas and llamas are related to camels and members of the camelidae family and originate from South America.

However, while llamas were used as meat and pack animals, alpacas were not bred as working animals and instead bred specifically for their fibre.

Alpaca fibre is used for making knitted and woven items, similar to sheep's wool. These items include blankets, sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, a wide variety of textiles and ponchos in South America and the world over.
