Head-on collision closes lanes at Casey

Emergency services are diverting Friday night traffic after two vehicles collided head-on on Clarrie Hermes Drive in Casey.

Police are at the scene of the crash, which happened about 6:40pm. The incident occurred close to the roundabout that joins Clarrie Hermes Drive, Kelleway Avenue, and Overall Avenue.

Ambulance and fire and rescue services also attended.

Clarrie Hermes Drive has been closed in both directions, affecting traffic coming off the Barton Highway and people attempting to access the nearby Casey shops.

It is understood no one has been injured in the incident. The road closures are expected to be in place until debris from the vehicles, and the vehicles themselves, are cleared away.
