Head of agency representing Gareth Bale handed three-month ban by FA for trying to sign underage player

The FA has fined David Manasseh £50,000 ( Rex )

The head of the agency which represents Gareth Bale has been suspended for three months by the Football Association and fined £50,000 after trying to sign an underage player.

David Manasseh, the managing director of agency Stellar which also represents England internationals Kieran Trippier, Luke Shaw and Jordan Pickford, was found to have entered into a contract with a player before the year he turned 16.

Manasseh had denied the charged but a hearing upheld the accusation and the FA have issued a three-month ban. The FA’s regulations around intermediaries state a player cannot be approached before 1 January in the year of their 16th birthday.
