Head coach Ian Burchnall clarifies double striker rumour as Notts County hunt transfer deal

Notts County head coach Ian Burchnall has ruled out a summer move for Boreham Wood striker Kabongo Tshimanga.

And he also denied that former Chesterfield forward Scott Boden had been on trial at Meadow Lane.

Speculation on social media had linked both players with a move to Notts, who are on the lookout for another centre forward this summer.

But Tshimanga is under contract at the Wood and would cost a six-figure sum while Boden, a free agent, is yet to find a club.

Burchnall said: "Scott hasn't trained with us.

"They are both good players and both good players for this level.

"Tshimanga is under contract, and I am not sure it's one that's even worth discussing at this moment because he's under contract at another club.

"Scott is a good player, a free agent, but he's not somebody that's been in with us."
