'He would've been annoyed' - Roy Keane delivers Jadon Sancho goal verdict

Roy Keane said that Jadon Sancho may have been annoyed with Marcus Rashford for interfering with his decision making for Manchester United's opener against Chelsea.

Sancho scored his second goal in successive games for United when he pounced on a mistake from Blues midfielder Jorginho five minutes into the second half.

Through on goal and with Rashford to his left, the £73million summer signing from Borussia Dortmund shimmied to fool goalkeeper Eduoard Mendy and when the shotstopper moved slightly to his right, Sancho passed the ball into the back of the net.

Keane was on punditry duty for Sky Sports and after the game said Rashford being in Sancho's periphery may have been a hindrance as opposed to being helpful.

"I think he would’ve been annoyed at Rashford because he has time to think and maybe Rashford probably interfered with his decision-making but luckily enough the ‘keeper was in two minds he gives him a little shimmy right at the end," said the former United captain.

"It’s good for Sancho he’s had a good week and for a young player coming to United this would be a huge week for him and a confidence boost for him."

A Jorginho penalty cancelled out Sancho's opener with just over 20 minutes left to play.
