Jason Naismith joked that 'Freedom Day' came two days early as he couldn't contain himself after scoring a dramatic winner for Kilmarnock on Saturday.
As of today social distancing is no longer law in Scotland, but no one in blue and white – or purple – was caring about that at 4.50pm two days ago.
And Naismith admits taking a yellow card for his celebration was well worth it, and confesses he even got a cuddle from fan!
Naismith said: “It was well worth the booking. He could’ve sent me off, to be honest, it was an amazing feeling.
“You’ve won the game. To be fair, the ref said: I’m sorry but I need to book you.
“And I said: It’s okay. I was thinking about it going from that end to that end and just clocked a boy and I thought: Aye, he's worth a cuddle.
“I think social distancing is about to end anyway so it’s alright. It was brilliant and that’s one of the things you missed when the fans weren’t there.
“It’s been a while, the atmosphere is so different. Football was back last season but it wasn’t the same without fans.
“The away crowd was brilliant, we could hear them in the changing room before going out.
“We mentioned that about getting the fans on our side. We obviously didn’t play as well as we could, that’s credit to Queens who stuck to their game plan.
“But we made something happen late to get the three points.”
Naismith added: “It was a brilliant feeling. It’s a tough place to come, obviously, it was great to get the three points.
“Initially Daniel was wide and I thought I will go into that space and see what happens.
“Rumarn gets the ball and lays a cute wee pass and obviously it’s a decent finish.
“Time seemed to stop, it seemed as if I had a lot of time. The game kind of hinged on that moment.
“It was brilliant to score the goal and make the away day out for the Killie fans.”
