'He’s truly finished' - Tottenham and Chelsea fans in agreement on Jose Mourinho after Roma loss

Jose Mourinho has enjoyed a trophy-laden coaching career.

Mourinho lifted eight trophies across two stints with the Blues, guiding the west London club to three Premier League titles.

The Portuguese coach then replaced Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur, a controversial move that made a large section of Chelsea supporters resent their former boss.

Mourinho won four of his first five games during his Spurs tenure, with England captain Harry Kane admitting that the two-time Champions League winner was exactly what the Lillywhites needed to bring trophies to N17.

“Obviously Jose is a winner at every level, he has come in with that aura about him and he wants to win things here", Kane said in November 2020.

“It is just installing that confidence into the team, he is a great man, with great experience, so us as players can only look at that and take confidence from that. We have had a great relationship since he walked through the door."

However, Mourinho struggled to maintain consistency with the north London club and eventually was sacked back in March of this year before Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed the club's new head coach in the summer.

The 58-year-old is now the manager of Italian giants AS Roma, enjoying a solid start to the season as his side sit fourth in the Serie A table.

Now, a number of Chelsea and Tottenham fans took to social media to voice their opinions on the former Manchester United coach, criticising him after Roma suffered a shock 6-1 defeat to Norwegian outfit FK Bodo/Glimt. Here is how a select few reacted on Twitter.

@GoodKidDadCity : "Jose thinking about that Newcastle gig."

@lukmanali1221 : "Lost the dressing room already he’s truly finished."

@SpursD22 : "Jose Mourinho is super duper finished."

@TheLuciusODell : "Mourinho Meltdown in the offing, see Spurs circa last season."

@NowYouveDummett : "So, neither Spurs nor Mourinho have taken the divorce well."

@SpursCompendium : "He never learns does he? He’ll be out of that job in 18 months. Contrast him with Nuno’s comments post match who refused to criticise his players. Mourinho always hangs them out to dry."

@DeclanPope : "Motivational mourinho strikes again ahead of a transfer window."

@BatesInThePlace : "Planning his exit strategy to Newcastle."
