'He's the missing piece' Man Utd fans are going crazy for 'superstar' Daniel James after Wales talent's debut

Manchester United fans have enjoyed getting a first glimpse of what new signing Daniel James can offer on his debut against Perth Glory.

The new Red Devils signing was named in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's starting line-up for the pre-season friendly in Australia, first playing on the left.

The ex-Swansea City winger, who was United's first signing of the summer, put on an encouraging display for his debut, using his rapid speed well to be able to press high, before a formation switch at 39 minutes where James switching wings to the right and Tahith Chong to the left.

Despite a goalless first 45, fans have been left impressed with their first chance to see James in action, with some lauding him as the player Manchester United have been missing.

In what is United's first game since that 2-0 defeat to Cardiff City on the last day of the season, it's also worth bearing in mind this is a second string Perth Glory side who haven't played for around two months.

Solskjaer opted for 11 changes for the second half, with James' fellow new signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka making his debut.
