Phil Neville believes Chelsea star Mason Mount is the best young English midfielder in the Premier League.
Mount once again impressed as his side booked their place in the FA Cup final next month after they beat Manchester United at Wembley.
Frank Lampard's side were in complete control from first to last as they comprehensively ended United's 19-match unbeaten run in all competitions at Wembley.
After Oliver Giroud put his side ahead in first half stoppage time, Mount added a second at the start of the second half.
Harry Maguire then put the ball into his own net before Bruno Fernandes converted from the penalty spot to reduce arrears in the closing stages.
And speaking afterwards, Neville was quick to praise the Chelsea youngster for his display at Wembley.
“The system today suited him playing off that left-hand side,” he told Match of the Day.
“You think of Maddison and Grealish, I actually think he’s the best of that bunch at the moment. He keeps getting better.”
While Ashley Cole backed up Phil Neville’s claim and believes he should be in the England squad.
He said: “Again, I worked with him at Derby and I’ve seen him in and around training at Chelsea. His enthusiasm and willingness to want to improve.
“You could put your arm around him and he wants to listen if you have information, or if you wanna criticise him, but he understands it. He understands it takes hard work and dedication. He’s willing to do that.
“For me, he should be around it (England team). In that England team, they’ve got a lot of youth and young players.
“What he brings is so much energy. If you wanna play a high-pressing game, he’s always on the press.”
