Danny Murphy hailed Divock Origi following his last minute winner for Liverpool against Wolves on Saturday.
The Reds dominated possession at Molineux but didn’t look like breaking the deadlock until the Belgian stuck with virtually the last kick of the game.
The 1-0 win briefly sent Jurgen Klopp's side top of the Premier League following Chelsea’s defeat to West Ham, but Manchester City knocked them off the summit after they claimed a 3-1 win at Watford.
Origi joined the Reds from French side Lille in July 2014, but during his seven and a half years at Anfield has never been more than a fringe player.

However, the 26-year-old has become something of a cult figure amongst Liverpool fans thanks to some crucial goals in big games.
None more so than the brace he netted against Barcelona in the Champions League semi final in 2019, which he then followed up with the all important second goal against Tottenham in the final.
Former Reds midfielder Murphy hailed Origi’s impact at Anfield over the years, but claims he didn't come across too many players during his time as a professional who would've have been happy being a peripheral figure at a club for so long.
“I think it’s exceptional, there’s not many players I know when I played that would be happy to go that long playing second fiddle. Murphy said whilst analysing the Belgian's tenure at Liverpool on BBC’s Match of the Day.

“He’s got talent, and he’s shown glimpses of being a really good player. But he’s never had that desire to move on.
“I think one thing is for sure Liverpool fans will be pleased he’s happy to stay there.”
Origi is set to play a crucial role in January when the Reds will lose Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to the African Cup of Nations.
In total the Belgian international has made 166 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 39 goals and notching 16 assists.
