'He's here and he is perfect' - Leeds United fans go wild as Robin Koch's signing ends Ben White saga

Leeds United fans have expressed their delight after the club confirmed the signing of Robin Koch from Freiburg.

The Whites secured the 24-year-old as a replacement for Ben White after admitting defeat in the race for the Brighton defender.

It's the second bit of business on a busy Saturday for Leeds after they confirmed the arrival of Rodrigo Moreno in a club-record deal earlier in the day.

Koch arrives for a fee believed to be in the region of £13million and will immediately strengthen Marcelo Bielsa's options at centre-back.

The Whites head to Anfield on the opening day of the Premier League season, in two weeks' time, with Liam Cooper as their only senior recognised centre-back, although Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips can both deputise in that role.

With a seventh signing through the door ahead of their Premier League return, Leeds fans are delighted with how the squad is being assembled.

Here's a look at how they reacted to their latest addition on social media.

Koch's arrival comes after the club broke their 20-year-old transfer record on Saturday, when they signed Spain striker Rodrigo from Valencia in a £27million deal, as the club make a splash in the transfer market a fortnight before the new season begins with a trip to Anfield to face champions Liverpool.

He will now join up with the German national team for their Nations League clashes against Spain and Switzerland, meaning he could face fellow Leeds new boy Rodrigo, who completed his move to Elland Road earlier on Saturday.

Earlier in the summer, Helder Costa and Illan Meslier saw their loan move become permanent, while Jack Harrison signed up for a third season on loan from Manchester City.

The club have also added to their youth ranks following the certification of their category one academy, with Joe Gelhardt, Charlie Allen, Cody Drameh, Dan van den Heuvel and Sam Greenwood all joining the club.
