West Ham United striker Michail Antonio has described Virgil van Dijk as the 'best' defender he has faced.
Antonio helped the Hammers to a 3-2 win over Liverpool at the start of November, in what was an off-day for centre-backs Van Dijk and Joel Matip
The forward was a nuisance throughout proceedings at the London Stadium and revealed after the game that West Ham's plan was to 'keep the ball away from Virgil' and to 'push straight on the keeper'.
It was a strategy that worked to great effect, although few Premier League sides have managed to get the better of Van Dijk in quite the same manner.

Although the Dutchman was unable to help keep David Moyes's side at bay, Antonio has described the 30-year-old as someone who has 'got it all', while also referring to him as a perfect player.
“The best defender I’ve ever played against is Virgil van Dijk,” the 31-year-old said on the Footballer’s Football podcast.
The Jamaica international added: “He’s quick, he’s strong, he’s good on the ball. And he’s good looking! The man’s got it all. I don’t know what I can that would be negative about the man. On the football field, he’s basically perfect.
“When I play against him, I don’t play against him. I avoid him and go to his partner and try and have an easier ride.

“I fancy my chances against anyone. I’d never say anyone is stronger than me. So if I ever came up against him, I’d give him a fair go. I always believe in myself.
“But, if I didn’t have to, I’m just not going to do it. I’m going to avoid him and go to the outside side. I’m not going to play on him, I’m going to play on his buddy!”
