'He's going nowhere' - Nottingham Forest fans issue defiant transfer message

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall continues to be linked with a move away from the City Ground.

With the January transfer window now open, Premier League outfit Sheffield United are the latest club to be credited with an interest in the Reds centre-back.

Arsenal and Newcastle were both linked with a move for Worrall at the end of 2019 on the back of his form for Forest this season.

Worrall has made 27 appearances for the Reds under Sabri Lamouchi, having found himself out of favour a year ago as he spent a season on loan at Rangers.

The former England Under-21 international is contracted at the City Ground until the summer of 2022 and would command a hefty fee if the Reds chose to sell.

However, they are under no pressure to do so with Worrall unlikely to want to leave given his affinity for his hometown club.

Here is a selection of what Forest fans have had to say about the latest rumour.

Elliot Moreland: “Convinced Worrall will never leave forest, even for a big side. He’s got this club in his heart. Genuinely.”

Ian Sills: “Him and Matty cash are on long contacts and on current form you'd need to part with 20m plus to even consider forest selling their top players.”

Rich Thorpe: “Top 6 club if any. This lad could be a future England player.”

Danny O’Farrall: “Cash in and sell him.”

Monstermash: “He's going nowhere.”

MonkeyMagic2: “It's going to be a tough transfer window, not just getting good quality players in but keeping the likes of Worrall, Cash and Brice Samba here at the City Ground away from the premier leagues mega money.”

Shayne: “It will never happen Joe is one of our own.”
