'He's done!' - Arsenal fans can't believe what Hector Bellerin did after talk of new contract

It's been an interesting last few days for Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.

Amid talk of leaving the Gunners this summer, on Friday the Guardian claimed that the club had offered the Spaniard a new contract despite links to the likes of Inter Milan.

Bellerin's current deal expires in 2023, but with the Italian giants reportedly only willing to business for a loan move with an option to buy, Arsenal's preference includes an obligation to buy.

And on his first appearance since this report came to light, Bellerin hardly covered himself in glory as the north London outfit were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Sunday afternoon.

Within minutes of being introduced to proceedings at the Emirates Stadium, a loose pass from the right-back was seized upon by Blues striker Tammy Abraham.

Ironically, the England international has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer and he showed his potential new club that he is lethal when he gets a sniff of goal as he capitalised on Bellerin's poor pass to restore Chelsea's lead.

As expected, Arsenal fans immediately flocked to social media to voice their opinions on the prospect of Bellerin's mistake especially as it came hot on the heels of talk about him signing a new deal with the club.

Judging by the responses, it's clear that fans are keen for Mikel Arteta and Edu to reverse their contract offer.

Here's what was said on Twitter...

@GurjitAFC said: "Seriously just give Bellerin away for free."

@chief_afc said: "Last year people were saying Bellerin could get us £25m. I’d take £5m right now, he’s done."

@Arsenalnewschan said: "Hector Bellerin I give up."
