'He's coming!' - Arsenal fans go crazy over latest Thomas Partey summer transfer report

Mikel Arteta will be looking to really stamp his mark on his Arsenal squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The Gunners have not appeared in the Champions League since 2017 and they have an uphill battle in their remaining ten Premier League games if they are to clinch a place in Europe's top competition.

Big changes have to be made at the Emirates if the team are to challenge at the top once again and that means the club are going to have to splash out in the transfer market.

Atletico Madrid ace Thomas Partey has been heavily linked with a move to north London ahead of next term and many Arsenal fans are hoping they can clinch a deal for his signature.

The 27-year-old has earned rave reviews in La Liga over the past few seasons and he looks likely to move on for a new challenge at some point in the future.

Midfield is one area the Gunners need to strengthen and Partey would do just that if he swaps Madrid for London before the summer transfer deadline.

Well, the latest from Goal suggest that Arsenal are doing all they can to try and entice him to the capital.

They claim Partey would receive a big boost in his current Atleti wages as the club are reported to be willing to triple his salary to sign him.

That could prove key as the report also states that the Spanish side's contract renewal offer will be less than proposed a few months ago due to coronavirus pandemic.

Goal claim that Partey will decide on his future at the end of the current campaign.

The reports from Spain have gone down incredibly well with Arsenal fans and many are now confident that he will seal a move to the Gunners in time for next season.

The midfielder has a £44.8million release clause in his contract that the club can activate if they are intent on landing him to strengthen their midfield.

Spanish giants Barcelona have also been linked with a move for the player as they look to add to their squad.

Speaking about his future last summer, the Ghanaian did hint about a possible Premier League switch at some point in the future.

"The Premier League is a good league, it's very competitive and has some of the best players in the world," he told ESPN. "Hopefully, one day. I would like to play there.

"My agents are on it so I will leave everything for them," he added.

"For me, I am happy playing football and I will continue to play where I am now until something comes up for consideration."
