Cody Parkey is back in the NFL.
The Titans signed the disgraced former Bears kicker Tuesday afternoon, one day after flying him in to take the place of Cairo Santos, another former Chicago kicker.
Parkey is infamous for double-doinking the Bears’ potential playoff game-winner against the Eagles in January, then going on the “Today” show five days later to talk about it. The Bears decided to cut Parkey shortly thereafter, but couldn’t make the move official until March.
Parkey — who went 23-for-30 on field goals during the regular season and 42-for-45 on extra points — was a Pro Bowl player after the 2014 season. The Bears signed him away from the Dolphins, guaranteeing him $9 million on a deal that could have lasted four years. They cut him after one.

He tried out for the Jets and Colts before the start of the season, though didn’t spend a moment in anyone’s training camp.
The Titans started the season with Ryan Succop at kicker, but Santos replaced him after an injury and make 4-of-9 field goals. He missed four Sunday.
As part of a flurry of roster moves Tuesday, the Titans cut former Bears center Hroniss Grasu.
