'He's awful' - Everton fans not happy with links to Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck

Everton fans have been having their say over their club's reported interest in Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck.

According to the Evening Standard, the Toffees are in pole position to sign the striker, who is available on a free transfer, this summer.

Welbeck has missed most of the season due to an ankle injury picked up in November, but is now back in full training with Arsenal and is expected to be fit enough to make the bench for the Europa League final against Chelsea on Wednesday (May 29th), where he could make his final appearance for the Gunners before moving on to pastures new.

The 28-year-old has scored 32 goals in 126 appearances for Arsenal after joining from Manchester United on deadline day of 2014.

Welbeck is reportedly looking for a club that will guarantee him first team opportunities as he looks to force his way back into Gareth Southgate's England squad ahead of Euro 2020, and the presence of former Arsenal teammate Theo Walcott is one element that is attracting to striker to Goodison Park.

The striker, however has struggled with injury since his move to the Emirates. In his five seasons at the club, he has only managed to appear in 20 or more Premier League games on two occasions.

But Everton fans don't seem too keen on their club signing the Arsenal man, many stating his injury record, as well as the reported £100,000 plus salary on offer to the player in order to make the move, while some believe that they can aim higher.

Here is just some of the reaction from Toffees fans.
