'He obviously loved his home': Previous owner buried in Leeds garden no problem for buyers

Moving into a home for sale in Middleton where the previous owner was laid to rest in the garden is "no problem", according to LeedsLive readers.

The man, who was born and died in the three-bedroom home in Middleton, was buried in the garden by his family, as per his dying wish.

The home is now on the market for £125,000.

The description on Zoopla reads: “Please be aware this property is being sold by family members as part of a relatives estate. It was the deceased's wishes to be buried in the garden as he was born and died in the house.

"This wish has been carried out and the property will be sold as-is."

Reacting to the story, one person joked: "Well he's made it very clear he ain't leaving”

A second said: “Awww my late Gran always told me its the living that harm you not the dead. He obviously loved his home. R.I.P Fella x”

Someone else said: “I'd live there no problem.”

Then someone else said: “It would not bother me one bit! Never be frightened of the dead, the living are more scary.”

But not everyone saw it in this way, one person said they would not buy this house after watching horror films.

Another joked: “I think he'll haunt that house not necessarily in a bad way but he'll be there.”
