Mason Mount continued his fine pre-season form for Chelsea with two goals at Reading on Sunday afternoon and fans are excited about what's to come.
Frank Lampard's Blues won 4-3 at Reading, with Mount netting his brace after half-time to put his side 4-2 ahead before Sam Baldock replied for the hosts.
Mount is now Chelsea's top goalscorer in pre-season, adding to his one goal scored earlier this month in a 4-0 win at St Patrick's Athletic.
Lampard and Mount worked together at Derby County last season, where the former was manager and the latter a loanee.
With comparisons drawn between Mount and Chelsea's record goalscorer, it's no surprise to see the England under-21 international flourishing in pre-season under Lampard.
Mount notched nine goals on loan at Vitesse two seasons ago and made the step up to English football for the first time last campaign, scoring eight times.
Now Chelsea fans are tipping him to have another good season, although this time it will hopefully be in Chelsea blue. And ahead of the club's opening fixture of the Premier League campaign at Manchester United on August 11, fans want him to start.
We will not have to wait long to find out what Lampard sees as his first choice XI now.
