'He must' - Julio Enciso's agent sends clear transfer message amid Man City speculation

Julio Enciso must keep his 'feet on the ground' amid links with treble-chasing Manchester City.

That was the view of his agent, Pedro Aldave, when asked about the speculation regarding his client and Pep Guardiola's side. The Paraguayan forward signed for Brighton and Hove Albion for a reported €11.6million last summer and has made a strong impression during his first season in England.

In his first year with the Premier League outfit, Enciso has scored four goals and made as many assists in his 24 appearances - including a stunning effort against Pep Guardiola's side on Wednesday night. The former Libertad man, 19, also found the net away to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent away matches. The Mirror claims that Guardiola is a 'huge admirer' of Enciso and could even make a move for his Seagulls team-mates Alexis Mac Allister - amid uncertainty over Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan's City futures.

Guardiola and City sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, are said to have drawn up their list of summer targets - in a bid to move early in the upcoming transfer window. The Catalan spoke of his admiration for Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi in this week's press conference and seemingly holds some of his players in equally high regard.

But in the case of Enciso, his representative wants him to block out the noise regarding a move to the Premier League champions.

Aldave told Versus [via Sport Witness]: "I saw about Manchester City, but they had already looked for Julio when he was at Libertad. He must have his feet on the ground and consolidate himself as a starter. He’s different and they will always look for him."
