Cole Palmer announced himself to the footballing world on Tuesday night with a tremendous goal in the Carabao Cup.
The Manchester City youngster came off the bench to make his first-team debut and finished off the scoring in a 6-1 victory over Wycombe.
Picking up the ball just inside his own half, the 19-year-old carried the ball forward before curling the ball into the bottom corner from just outside the box.
Wheeling away towards the corner and sliding on his knees, the finish was something of a player with over 100 goals under their belt, not his first in senior football.
City fans took to social media to highlight just how talented the midfielder was and how he has this in his locker.
Here’s what supporters and writers said.
Talking to broadcasters after the game, Cole said the feeling of scoring on his debut was out of this world.
"I'm over the moon," he said." "To be honest that's probably the best feeling I've ever had. When I see it go in and hear the fans. That's why we work as little kids. I've got to keep going, get more opportunities to try and have moments like that again.
"The manager trusts us so we trust him back., you can see on the training pitch how many of us train with him. to get the opportunity tonight, we're all delighted."
