'He makes every team better': Man City star Bernardo Silva given Ballon d'Or vote after PSG performance

Owen Hargreaves believes Manchester City star Bernando Silva should be in contention to win the Ballon d’Or.

The Portugal midfielder was rumoured to be on his way out of the Etihad over the summer, but has since gone on to become an integral part of Pep Guardiola's side.

Silva has notched four goals so far this season and has dazzled in the false nine role.

However, despite winning the Premier League last season and reaching the Champions League final, the 27-year-old was not shortlisted for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.

Former City midfielder Hargreaves believes the 27-year-old would improve any side.

“Bernardo Silva is one of my favourite players, he is one of the most underrated players in football," he told BT Sport.

“If you look at the young ones, Phil Foden sticks out and he’s going to be a Ballon d’Or winner, I believe that.

“Bernardo won’t win the Ballon d’Or, but he makes every team better and he’s undroppable for City.”

Silva was in fine form for City yet again as they dispatched Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at the Etihad on Wednesday evening.

The French giants took the lead through Kylian Mbappe early in the second half but City equalised through Raheem Sterling.

Gabriel Jesus got the winner for Guardiola's side after being set up by Silva.

The win means City have qualified for the last-16 of the Champions League as group winners.
