'He looks ready!' - Arsenal fans go crazy as Kieran Tierney returns to full training in Dubai

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta could soon have a healthy set of full-backs.

Prior to the international break, Hector Bellerin was the only fit senior full-back for the goalless draw against Burnley as Bukayo Saka - naturally a winger - was asked to fill in at left-back once again.

To make matters worse the teenager suffered a knock in the first-half which prevented him from seeing out the entire 90 minutes and that resulted in Granit Xhaka playing the second half at left-back.

What Arsenal need to do during the winter break

It's a good thing that the Gunners are on their winter break as it has provided the medical team a nice window to nurse players back to full fitness.

Sead Kolasniac just missed out on the matchday squad against the Clarets, while January loan signing Cedric Soares took part in a light training session out in Dubai on Friday.

And to complete the set, Kieran Tierney is edging closer towards a return to action.

Sidelined since before Christmas with a dislocated shoulder sustained in the 3-1 win over West Ham United, the Scotland international's slated return date was at some point next month.

However, it would appear that Tierney is ahead of schedule.

The Gunners uploaded a few images of the left-back training with the group in Dubai and the caption reads: "KT getting to it after today’s first group session!"

As expected, this has prompted a big reaction from Arsenal fans.

Having Tierney, Kolasinac and Cedric fully fit very soon will certainly be great news for Arteta as he expressed unhappiness at having to use the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Saka out of position.

"We are already playing with full-backs that are not full-backs" he told reporters.

"They are wingers or central midfielders and could we afford to lose full-backs? No, but we don't have any full-backs."
