'He'll know' - Nottingham Forest decision questioned by Leeds United man

Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw has had his say on Ryan Yates' red card in Nottingham Forest's goalless draw with Bristol City yesterday.

The midfielder was given his marching orders for a poor challenge on City midfielder Adam Nagy just 11 minutes into the first half at Ashton Gate.

Yates left Forest down to ten men and battling to earn a hard-fought point on the road.

The Forest academy product escaped a sending off in the previous match, the 1-0 defeat of Derby County, when he injured defender Matt Clarke early on.

But this time he didn't get away with it and Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi had no complaints with Craig Pawson showing the red card to Yates.

And Forshaw, in second with a last-gasp win at Luton Town yesterday, says Yates can have no complaints.

"There's full blooded tackles and there's clear danger," he told Quest's EFL highlights show.

"When he looks back at that he'll know it was a red card."

Former Chelsea striker Sam Parkin agreed with Forshaw, adding that Yates might have cost himself a chance at an extended run in the side as well as three points on the day.

"He was fortunate maybe he didn't get sent-off against Derby. It's a clear red card here.

"It's a really poor decision from a young player who has had good opportunity to stake his claim in the Nottingham Forest midfield.

"He's nearly cost his team today."
