'He'll fit right in then!' - Spurs fans deliver Krzysztof Piatek verdict after AC Milan display

Tottenham Hotspur fans were able to see transfer target Krzysztof Piatek in action for AC Milan in the Coppa Italia - and some were not impressed.

The AC Milan striker may have been heavily linked with Tottenham and Chelsea this month, but he was in action in Italy as his side took on Torino in the quarter-final of the Italian cup competition, which was shown on BT Sport.

Piatek started the game at the San Siro, despite the continued speculation over his future and a possible move to the Premier League before the January transfer window deadline.

But he only lasted 64 minutes of the game, before being substituted.

During his time on the pitch, Piatek led to a goal being disallowed for his side, as he was penalised for handball when Ante Rebic put the ball in the net towards the end of the first half.

His performance led to criticism from some AC Milan fans, who were not impressed with the Polish international.

And it seems they were not alone, with some Tottenham fans taking to social media to comment on his performance.

Here's what some Spurs fans had to say.

Piatek has now played 20 times for AC Milan this season, and has scored five goals.

But the 24-year-old, who has also been linked with West Ham, had only featured in two of Milan's five games so far in 2020, prior to the game against Torino.

He was substituted for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the cup clash, with Milan going on to win the tie 4-2 after extra time.
