'He is on fire' - Gabriel Jesus compared to Ronaldo by Man City fans after stunning goal vs Bournemouth

Manchester City fans are delighted that Gabriel Jesus has returned to form after he scored in the third game running against Bournemouth, with some even comparing him to legendary striker Ronaldo.

Jesus had been suffering a drought in goals since the restart of football in England, having failed to hit the back of the net in the first six games back, which was proving to be a concern with Sergio Aguero ruled out for a lengthy period of time due to a knee injury.

However, Pep Guardiola didn't lose faith in him and prior to the Premier League meeting with Newcastle United he said: "One moment he will unlock, unblock and score goals, and he will continue to score goals."

The Brazilian went on to score the opening goal in the 5-0 victory over the Magpies and has proven his manager right by scoring in every game since, with a strike in another 5-0 win against Brighton and then the pick of the bunch in the 2-1 win against Bournemouth.

A brilliant team move saw David Silva play Jesus through into the box and he showed magical footwork to cut inside before finishing with style into the bottom corner.

Fans are delighted to see that Jesus looks to be getting back to his best again and with important matches in the FA Cup and Champions League on the horizon, it couldn't have come at a better time.

You can see a selection of their reactions below:

Jesus' goal against the Cherries transpired to be the winner as what initially looked to be another comfortable match turned into a nervy affair due to a gutsy performance from the relegation strugglers.

Captain Silva had opened the scoring with another sublime free-kick before Jesus doubled the lead but then the Blues seemed to uncharacteristically take their foot off the gas, allowing Bournemouth to get back into the game. David Brooks pulled a goal back late on but City managed to hold on for the win.
